Supreme Court allows EPA to temporarily enforce limits on greenhouse gas emissions from coal-fired power plants

The Supreme Court has ruled in favor of the Environmental Protection Agency to enforce its strict greenhouse gas emissions regulations for coal-fired power plants while legal challenges continue. As reported by CBS News, this decision follows a May rule mandating that existing coal facilities must capture 9-% of carbon dioxide emissions by 2032 if they intend to operate beyond 2039.
