$6 million sidewalk project is one of Muncie’s biggest ever

It’s taken the better part of a decade, but an area of Muncie where sidewalks are underdeveloped and in demand will finally see the pedestrian pathways built. And at $6 million, the plan to build new sidewalks north of McGalliard Road and east of Morrison Road — a heavily commercial area with most of the city’s motels and many restaurants and other businesses — will be one of the largest sidewalk projects, if not the single largest, in the city’s history.
