$12 million plan to improve roads, bridges in Franklin County

U.S. 30 and U.S. 11 in Franklin County will see plenty of roadwork in the next four years. The Metropolitan Planning Organization, the county’s transportation planning committee, recently adopted a $12 million Transportation Improvement Plan for 2019 to 2023. Sixteen bridges will be replaced — including the one-lane bridge on Social Island Road, a shortcut between U.S. 11 and Pa. 995.
