PennDOT Launches Bridge Replacement Tracking Website
With preliminary design for the Scranton Local Bridges Project underway, The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has launched a new website to inform the public on construction updates, according to Transportation Today.
For the rest of spring and summer, the department would be on-site to complete surveys, in-depth bridge inspections, and traffic counts. The information will be used to evaluate environmental constraints, develop preliminary plans, and determine how to best to maintain and protect traffic during construction. The website will be updated regularly, with more frequent updates going out as bridge construction begins.
