Lakewood prepares for Waste Water Treatment Plant projects

LAKEWOOD, Ohio – City Council recently agreed to spend upwards of $1.3 million for Kokosing Industrial to clean the existing digesters as well as conduct design work regarding future upgrades at Lakewood’s Waste Water Treatment Plant. “The money is coming from the sewer rates that fund the Waste Water Treatment Plant,” City of Lakewood Director of Public Works Joe Beno said. “The actual project itself is expected to cost approximately another $5 million or $6 million on top of the $1.3 million.
