Illinois’ New Energy Plan Promises Massive Shift Away From Fossil Fuels

The Midwest now has the most aggressive clean energy standard. 

In an attempt to refute climate change, Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker signed The Climate and Equitable Jobs Act. According to Energy News Network, this new legislation would reshape multiple sectors of the state’s economy, setting the state on a path to reconstruct its energy sector into one that produces zero carbon emissions by 2050. It includes modifications which would advance the use of electric vehicles and workforce development for a growing “green economy.”
