How will a new administration affect transportation policy?

With a new administration coming into office next year, experts anticipate significant shifts in U.S. transportation policy, potentially reversing many of the current administration’s efforts to bolster public transit, high–speed rail and electric vehicle infrastructure. As reported by Smart Cities Dive, during Trump’s previous term, funding leaned heavily toward highways over rail and transit projects, along with attempts to cut funding for Amtrak and California high-speed rail. While future plans from his administration may seem to call for rural highway projects, many rural communities are calling for more train routes to reconnect them with urban centers/
