How U.S. Infrastructure Investments In Seeds Fight Climate Change

The U.S. government is investing nearly $1 billion in native seed programs as a part of its Ecosystem Restoration and Resilience Framework, according to Forbes. These efforts aim to restore ecosystems damaged by wildfires, invasive species and natural disasters but using area-specific seeds that are genetically adapted to local conditions. 

Native seeds are critical to maintaining resilient landscapes that can withstand extreme weather and mitigate climate-related damage.
