Ground Broken On Water Plant Project
Yankton officially took a step in advancing part of its aging infrastructure Tuesday afternoon.
A number of city and construction officials were on hand on the east side of Yankton’s 1972 water treatment facility near the Meridian Bridge to break ground on a $34 million water purification facility expansion that will utilize new technologies to stay ahead of changing regulations. Yankton Mayor Jake Hoffner said the project will put Yankton on the cutting edge.
