The Gloves Are Off: $105 Million Greenbacks for US Solar Energy Industry

Just when you thought the US Department of Energy was dialing down its support for solar energy, here it comes with a $105 million round of funding for projects aimed at pushing the coal industry right out of the power generation market. For that matter, the Energy Department seems to have its sights set on straight-arming natural gas and nuclear energy out of the picture, too. President* Trump’s new tariff on photovoltaic modules had solar energy fans worried for a while, but the new round of funding is a good sign of, well, good things to come.
