EPA orders additional testing at Hoover District site

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is ordering the owners of the Hoover District to conduct additional testing as part of its hazardous waste cleanup. The EPA sent Maple Street Commerce a notice on June 13, identifying nine issues with the developer’s work plan under the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act. According to the EPA, the former Hoover Co. headquarters site has been part of the RCRA since 1999.
