DOT Announces Nearly $635 Million for 22 Bridge Projects Across the Country

The Department of Transportation has recently announced a significant investment of nearly $635 million for 22 bridge projects across 19 states as a part of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. According to a press release from the DOT, the initiative marks the largest dedicated funding for bridges since the Interstate Highway System and aims to build, repair and modernize crucial infrastructure. With a total commitment of $40 billion over five years to address the backlog of bridge projects, the funding is expected to restore essential connections for commuters, emergency responders and freight transport.
