County exploring federal infrastructure grant options

Klamath County commissioners are exploring ways they can help secure federal funds for local infrastructure projects through the Community Development Block Grant (CBDG) program. Commissioners’ discussion began after the Bly Water & Sanitary District asked the county to sign off as advocates for a CDBG application for improvements to its water system. District Board President Steve Cornell said, in order to qualify for the grant, an incorporated city our county needed to be included on the application.
