Civil engineering salaries grow, job satisfaction remains high according to new report
According to the American Society of Civil Engineers’ 2024 Civil Engineering Salay Report, the industry’s salaries have increased, though growth is slowing compared to recent years. The median salary now stands at $135,000 — a 6% rise from 2023. Civil engineers with a Professional Engineers (PE) license can see even higher earnings, with an average annual salary of $140,000. Job satisfaction remains high at 85.6% and many report satisfaction with compensation and benefits.
