City slated to repave 22 miles of roads

Bowling Green is preparing to repave more than 22 miles of city streets during the coming year. A $2 million bid from Scotty’s Contracting and Stone of Bowling Green was approved Tuesday by the Bowling Green City Commission for the 2018 fiscal year road repaving program. The 22.54 miles set to be repaved is on par with recent years, but a step up from what the city was able to do in the midst of the Great Recession, according to city public works director Greg Meredith.
