Last night President-elect Donald Trump secured Electoral College win and any last stumbling blocks have been clear for his inauguration and the next president of the United States. Over the last few weeks, we’ve seen President-elect Trump soften his tone compared to Candidate Trump, even as the stock market has continued to climb under what many are calling the Trump Bump. Since Day 2016, the S&P 500 has soared 123 points or 5.7% while the Dow Jones Industrial Average has climbed from 18,332.74 to within 0.6% of hitting 20,000. Quite the rocket ship ride with a growing view the stock market has gotten out over its skis as investor enthusiasm toward what may be under the Trump presidency, including lower taxes, regulatory reform and infrastructure spending.
